Why Cycle?

Here are some great reasons to get on your bike again, burning calories instead of carbon!

Cycling makes you feel better

When you cycle the pituitary gland releases endorphins in your brain giving you a feeling of euphoria — cyclist's high. These naturally produced brain chemicals make you feel great after a cycle ride and bring stress relief especially after a busy day at work.

The pedal workout strengthens your heart so it's no surprise that your life expectancy is increased. Your immune system is also boosted so less sniffles and no more feeling run down.

Cycling makes you healthy

Regular cycling will bring you the general health of someone 10 years younger. It's a low impact form of exercise that goes easy on your joints so is safer than jogging..

Cycling keeps your shape trim by toning those troublesome parts of your body — thighs, bottoms and stomach. Cycling helps to keep your weight down by raising your metabolic rate — the rate at which your body burns calories. A two mile trip at a leisurely pace can burn up to 100 calories.

Cycling saves you money

Cycling is free as the energy driving you forward is pedal power instead of costly car fuel. Add to this parking charges and wear and tear and it is smarter to leave your car at home for shorter journeys.

Its also one of the easiest ways to keep fit saving you money on gym membership and much more useful as it actually gets you from A to B..

Cycling is fun and eco-friendly

A cycle trip is an ideal way to enjoy the great outdoors by giving you flexibility and a rewarding experience either in the countryside or in town cycling through parks and here in Blackpool along the promenade.

By travelling in this sustainable way you are enhancing the environment by reducing the air pollution, carbon emissions and road traffic in your local community and the places you visit on bike.
